In der schönsten Region Kärntens - Ein Schloss mieten - Für Ihr besonderes Fest - Mit Familie und Freunden - Ganz einfach schön urlauben!

The Gerlich family has converted the rooms in the former monastery, erected 1754 during the reign of Maria Theresia, into four comfortable holiday apartments and have turned the former school room into a large hall where functions can be held. Four apartments Abtei, Priorat, Pfarrei and Noviziat with 60m² to 80m² are fully furnished with a cooker, sink, fridge, dishwasher and a microwave.

The inner courtyard, the sauna and a 460 m² swimming pond help to create an ideal atmosphere.

The 80 m² room for functions is perfect for private celebrations such as weddings, birthday parties or other occasions, with room for up to 50 people. There is also a rustic party room in the cellar with its arched ceiling and a huge cast iron stove which provides welcoming warmth.

It is possible to organize a catering service for your functions. You can treat yourself to something really special and hire out the whole monastery for your celebration. Mass is said in the beautiful Baroque church every Sunday. The village of Zedlitzdorf is at an altitude of 1100 metres in a valley of the Gurktaler Alps, and is the perfect place for setting off for mountain hikes. If you love country life you will feel at home as hill farming, with all its challenges, is still carried on in the village.

Bad Kleinkirchheim - Turrach - Falkert - Sirnitz

There is a host of activities waiting for you on your holiday – climbing, hiking, mountain biking, riding on marked routes up to the alpine pastures nearby. The same area is ideal for tobogganing in winter. Tracks for cross country skiing cross the valley where, in summer, you have the possibility of swimming, fishing, rafting, or playing tennis or golf.
The valley ends in the large nature reserve of the Nock Mountains, and borders on the provinces of Salzburg and Styria. If you cast your eye beyond the upper Gurk valley, you can discover lots more in Carinthia. The most southern province in Austria has a lot to offer to tourists – stalactite caves, finds from the Stone Age, excavations of Roman towns as well as pre-Christian and Christian shrines. Then there are fortresses, castles, medieval walled towns, churches, monasteries, cathedrals from the Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque periods, as well as modern-day public events.
